Liberica coffee is huge coffee berries characterized by having a smoky, nutty, dark chocolate notes when roasted or brewed. Its beans are asymmetrical and almost almond and teardrop-shaped that has an exceptional aroma. It has dense flavors, smoldering, wherein not everyone appreciates it. Liberica accounts for only 2% of global coffee consumption. As it has run into near extinction in the past and isn’t widely cultivated, it is a rare commodity that is not easily be found anywhere. However, it has been known to be ideal for making espresso or suggested to brew on its own to savor its earthy and aromatic flavor.
