The Gedeo region is situated in the highlands of southern Ethiopia. This region is home to many well-known provinces, including Yirgacheffe, which brings its name to an outstanding quality of coffee. Hundreds of small-scale farmers cultivate coffee plants in a natural environment in Gediyo municipal, where other trees function as shade and enrich the soil with nutrients.

The soil is rich in red-brown and iron and the production is extended to 2300 meters above sea level. This lot was naturally processed in accordance with the Ethiopian tradition. Cherries are handpicked and dried on raised African beds for weeks. Usually, during this time, women are involved in the process of quality control and therefore are responsible for choosing the right beans to generate the perfect blend.
